Alexander Alexay

September 29, 1901 -- April 20, 1999
 
Alexander Alexay was a Canadian-born American pianist and vocal coach.  He was a student of famed virtuoso and teacher, Emil von Sauer in Vienna (who was one of the pupils of Franz Liszt). He toured extensively on four continents as soloist and as accompanist to many of the world's great vocalists, including Jarmila Novotna, Jan Peerce, Anna Moffo, Renata Scotto, Richard Tucker, Jerome Hines and many others.
 
He is survived by his loving wife, Hiromi Alexay.

Mario Alexay his only son lives in Green Valley, Arizona.
 
 
 
Funeral services will be held at Quinn-Fogarty Funeral Home
on Saturday,  April 24, 1999 at 9:00 AM
